Chris and Yakina had just finished searching a room, He rubbed his eyes "your sure you saw her run this direction?" he asked she looked at him "i am pretty sure, it was dark so im just telling you what i saw." she said

Issue 6

Yanika and Chris moved to the next room which was right next to the room they had just searched. They counted their blessings. They hadn't run into anymore of those zombie creaturses, but they didn't let down their guard. Chris scanned the room with the flashlight before going in. Yanika was close behind. "Natalie?" Chris whispered.

Natalie heard the creak of the door open, she held her breath and hugged her knees closer to her, then she heard a familiar voice "natalie?" it called "papa?" she said quietly crawling to the closet door and opening it, she saw her father with a flashlight and there was another person with him "Papa!!" she cried stumbling out of the closet.

Issue 6

"Natalie!" Chris cried out, more loud than Yanika liked. "Shush!" She warned them. "I said to be quiet." She added. "We found your daughter now we need to find a way out of here. Undiscovered I would like it."

Chris had gathered natalie into his arms and picked her up she held on tightly he comforted her telling her it was alright he was there, he looked at yakina "sorry" he said for the earlier outburst he looked at Natalie "how are you feeling Nat?" he asked pushing her hair out of her face, she had a cold sweat, "my head hurts thats all" Natalie said "ok" he said "when we get out of here we need to find a hospital" he said to Yakina he had a pleading look in his eyes.

Issue 6

"Her needles did break. We should be able to find some. Maybe find some cases to put them in." Yanika said. She understood. Chris looked thankfull. Yanika rummaged through the cabinets that was in the corner of the room. She found a map of the factory. She spread it out on the desk. "Okay." She put her finger on the map. "We can get out there."

natalie held onto her dad's hand as they made their way to their chosen exit. They got outside, Yakina and Chris looked around for any signs of the zombies.

Issue 6

The streets were deserted. The three kept close together. Yanika was the only one who knew how to fight. Chris had questions about that but kept them to himself. Soon they came to a bus station. "Damn it." Yanika cursed to herself. The map was torn off.

"Is there a sign anywhere? if its close theres bound to be a sign" Chris asked as he looked for a blue and white sign

Issue 6

They looked around, they couldn't find one. "If we walk along the streets a bit more...we might find it.." Yanika said. "But..." She added. She thought of the danger. "I think it's best if we find a other bus station." She said walking. "Why?" Chris asked. He held his daughter's hand tight. "Just wandering around can be dangerous." Yanika answered. "We might encounter a horde of zombies. I can't fight them all with just my knife. I can't fight two with just a knife." Chris agreed with her. "But." He started but Yanika cut him off. "There should be a bus station near by. This looks like a city not just some small town."

Chris kept Natalie close as the three of them made their way down the street to find another bus station. They eventually came to one.

Issue 6

Luckily this map was in one piece. Yanika looked for the hospital. They were a block away from it. She carefully took the map and folded it. "Just in case." She said. They headed to the hospital. Natalie needed a shot soon. They ran there. In five mintues they got to the hospital. The building looked creepy. Natalie voiced that. They quickly entered. "Guess we're not alone." Yanika said. They saw the message. Despite the dire circustances they couldn't help but sweatdrop.

what made it even weirder was that it was in red spray paint and some of the paint had run giving the message a macabre feel. After reading the message chris hurried to find what they came here for, Yakina kept a look out. He eventually found some sterile needles surprisingly, He set Natalie on the counter back at the entrance and gave her the shot of insulin. "there yah go sweetie should feel better in a minute" he said throwing out the needle. he had also found a case and stashed all the extra supplies she would need in it, and that went into the backpack, color started coming back to Natalie's face, "are we going to the police station?" she asked looking at the message on the wall.

Issue 6

"Should we?" Chris asked Yanika. "I think so." Yanika replied. "I'd feel better with a gun. And I want to make sure whoever left the message is still alive. There may be more people than just one." Chris nodded. Yanika looked outside to make sure it was safe. She waved them over to go. Chris picked up Natalie, they left for the police station.

"are we going to wait? see if any others show up?" Mikhail asked he was leaning against one of the station desks

Emily didn't her Mikhail's question. She was busy trying to see if the phone worked. It didn't. She slammed the phone. Mikhail jumped. "Sorry." She apologized. "Are we going to wait here?" He asked again. She nodded. His stomach growled. He blushed and looked away. She laughed softly. "I saw a small convient store we passed by earlier. And there should be a vending machine somwhere..." He didn't look at her. "I'll go find something at the store. I'll get a small gas stove too." She said getting up. "You stay here. If someone does come tell them I'm going to be back."

He nodded and she left, his stomach gave another growl, he decided it would hurt to try and get what he could out of the vending machine if there was one, of course it was a police station why wouldnt there be one?. he found it and luckily the front was just glass he took his foot and smashed through it.

Issue 7

After Mikhail smashed through the glass, he remembered Emily telling him not to draw attention to himself. He looked around and listened. Thankfully it didn't sound like or look like he drew any attention. So far the police station seemed safe.

After double checking to make sure everything was quiet and nothing was coming to maim him, he gathered what he could hold

Mikhail sat on the desk eating a candy bar. He looked at the clock. It was three in the afternoon. They had been there, from the time the convention started, five hours. He didn't know how long they had been asleep for. He timed her at three. He sat waiting.
A half hour went by and Emily wasn't back yet. He was getting worried. He didn't want to go out there though. He would never admit it out loud but he felt safe with her around. She was a police officer after all. And she was a rather good fighter. He wondered if she had training outside of the police academy.

Mikhail's eyes were soon getting a bit heavy 'how can you even think about sleep right now?' he mentally slapped himself.

Issue 7

Ten minutes later Emily came in. She was holding a paperbag and a gas stove box. "Sleepyhead. I'm back." She said setting the paperbag down on the desk. She started opening the box. After five minutes she got the stove to work. "What did you get?" He asked sitting next to her. The stove was really small. "Mainly soups. I got some plastic bowls in the bag and some spoons." She said. She opened a can with her pocket knife. It was tomato soup. 'She had to get tomato soup.' Mikhail thought with getting out two bowls.

They waited for the soup to cook, he couldnt help but nearly make a face looking at the red liquid,

Issue 7

Mikhail was starting to believe she really was nuts. She sat there humming while cooking the soup. It didn't bother her at all. She didn't notice Mikhail's stare or she ignored him. She served the soup when it was done. She sat there humming while eating it.

"so.....whats your story?" he asked as he ate the soup.
