Hollow Ground

3rd Volume of the Chaos Saga

The sun shined down on the blazing sands. A tall girl was running across the beach, her feet at the mercy of the heat, chasing a seagull that stole her fries. Another girl, shorter and had long dark brown hair, stared at the scene.
"Cj, how many times does that make?" She asked exhausted, pulling out a book.
"Damn it!" She screamed, her stomach growled. "That makes it ten times today!" She crawled over to her friend. Her friend pulled out a cookies n' cream bar from her purse and gave it to Cj. "It's nice that Azalea gave us a free trip to Jamaica."
"Nothings free." Her friend stated. "She's up to something." She added in a quieter tone.
"Aw come on, Teresa." Cj said with a cat-like grin. "She's only being nice. And it's nice to have a vacation!"
"Vacations are nice, but I never get one. Something always happens." Teresa said calm.
"Don't say that!" Cj yelled and pleaded. "You're always right!" She whined.
"I'm not always-" Before Teresa was able to finish a twister appeared out of nowhere. "At times like this. I really hate when I'm right."
"I told you!" Cj whined. "How can you always be so calm!?" She screamed at Teresa when they got picked up by the twister.
"I'm not always calm!" Teresa yelled back, but Cj was already gone. "Sorry, Himeko. Looks like I'm finally going to die."
"How can you be so calm about that!?" A little girl's voice cried.

"Ugh. I'm getting dizzy. Kristie said as sshe spun around in the twister. Kristie closed her eyes to try and stop the effects of spinning, when she stopped spinning completly. "Wow...where the hell am I?!" Kristie yelled looking around the all white place. "Oh...My...God....I died!! I can't believe it!! And I was killed by a twister! Of all the ways to die. I die by a fuckin' twister! I coudn't die by getting my head taken off by a missle, noooo. I had to die spinning to death!" Kristie yelled, ranting to no one but herself, well almost herself.
"Oh quit being over dramatic. If you were dead I wouldn't be here either." A man's voice spoke out.

"We're falling through the sky! And you're not screaming!?!" A young girl's voice shouted.
"I don't scream." Was all that Teresa said. Not fazed by the fact she's falling, in fact she had a scowl on her face.
"You're no screaming even though we're falling! And you're pissed off about the fact you didn't die!" Himeko screamed in Teres's ear. "Well now you're going to die by the impact of the fall! You happy now!?" Teresa looked at her with a straight face.
"I'm never happy." Teresa stated.
"Argg!!!" Himeko held back the urge to hit Teresa's head. With a huge thump Teresa fell on something, catching Himeko.
"Well what do you know. I didn't die." She said in her usual calm tone.
"How can you be so calm!?" Himeko screamed, making Teresa drop her.

"Shut it, Vincent!" Kristie yelled. She had began walking after Vincent told her she wasn't dead. Kristie was now lost in a place she didn't know, and Kristie hated to be lost, vincent wasn't helping much eeither with his taunting.
"How can a world renouned tracker get lost? Talk about a failure to the profession! HaHa!" Vincent said, laughing. He soon stopped laughing after the glare Kristie gave him.

"Ow!" Himeko whined. Teresa got off whatever she fell on, standing.
"Well what do you know. I fell on a person." She stated calm. Seeing a man laying on the ground, face flate against the stone.
"How can you be so calm- Oh forget it." Himeko went back into the neclace. Teresa sighed a sigh of relief in her head. She stood there a few mintues to see if the man would get up. She noticed that he wore something that reminded her of japan but what stuck out the most was his unusual hairstyle. After the few minutes of no movement. Teresa prounouced him dead and began to walk away.
"Hold it!" He yelled, shotting up from the ground. "You've got a lot of nerve falling on me like that, little girl." Teresa stopped and turned, giving him her deathglare for calling her "little girl". "Oh you've got good eyes. How about a fight." He said drawing his sword.
"I don't willingly fight with idiots." She said walking away.

Kristie saw a corner up ahead and sped up. "Maybe this will lead to an exit! Or maybe a doo-obff!" Kristie said, before running into something. Kristie stiped back a few steps, holdning her nose. "Ouch! My poor nose!" Kristie said looking up. She saw that she had ran into a man. The man was taller than her and had blue hair, on the side of his face was what looked like a part of human teeth.
"Um...hi?" Hristie said hesitantly.

"What!?" He yelled. I'm not an idiot!"
"Jezz, Teresa." Himeko said still in her necklace form. "You really know how to piss people off." Teresa shrugged. She said that it's a gift given to her by her father, while Himeko yelled at her about that fact.

"Hey, how did you get in here?" The man asked.
"That's a good question, ha ha. I have no idea." Kristie said laughing, scratching the back of her head.

Teresa sensed the man run behind her. She dodged his sword with ease. "Agressive." She taunted still with her calm tone.
"Oh damn! She's enjoying this!"Himeko cried with having Teresa being able to hear her.

Kristie dodged a swing from the man's blade. "I dont' want to fight!" Kristie said. The man laughed. "Draw your weapon! I don't want to fight a coward who won't even draw their weapon."
"Who the hell are you calling a coward!" Kristie said, drawing out both guns. One to the block the next attack and the other to attack the man. 'Great, now both me and Teresa are in fights. Only Teresa's probably enjoying her fight. Kristie thought, pulling the trigger on her gun.

'Hmm. Cj is in a fight. She must have gotten herself into some trouble. Tori's bad luck is rubbing off on her.' Teresa thought dodging another swing. "Oh, so close." She taunted, even though you wouldn't know it by how it sounded with her tone of voice. "It seems we have company." Teresa said after she heard a thunder of footsteps heading to their position. She jumped on the stone wall. She saw that looked like a small unit of soliders come running. She jumped down on the other side avoiding detection.
"Captain Zaraki, we heard a lough explosion!" The leader of the squad said approuching him in caution. Zaraki glared at him. Thhe man and the unti backed away wary.
"You interupted my fight. Zaraki stated raising his spiritual pressure adding more fear to the squad. "You bastards aren't even part of my company. So why the hell are you here!?"
"W-we are patrolling the area, Sir." He stutered. Zaraki tsk then walked away. Everying in the squad sighed out of relief.
"I woud apprecate it if you didn't threaten my men." A tall man said to Zaraki while Zaraki turned a corner. He stopped and grined.
"I didn't threaten them. They're just cowards and weaklings." He still had his grin. The other captain quietly walked away. Meanwhile Teresa was having an argument with her partner. Teres quietly sat on a different stone wall while Himeko was chewing Teresa's ear off, in her human form. While Himeko was busy with her rant. Teresa noticed that some people who were passing close by was being drawn by the noise.
'Should I tell her?' Teresa questioned. Since she was annoyed about the fact she was flung into yet another world she decided against telling Himeko and quietly sneaked away.

Kristie was croching down in a small cave, hiding. 'This place is full of freaks and weirdos!' Kristie thought in her head, as more of the strange people ran by the coave she was hiding in.
"Where did that little sneak run to?" The man who had been fighting asked.
"What's the commotion, Grimmjaw?" A tall bulky and overly muscular man asked.

"A girl wearing strange clothing and a mask has somehow gotten into the palace without detection. She ran into me and I attacked her, but she managed to run off and hide!" Grimmjaw explained.

"Hey! Who are you!" One of the people shouted. Himeko amost fell off the wall, being startled.
"Hime!" Himeko whispered. "We're in trouble!" She noticed no reply and then saw that her partner was one. "Hime! You can be such a bitch!!" She screamed her voice changed from a cute little girl's to a yankee gangster woman.

Kristie sneaked out of her cove and ran off while the men were busy talking to eachother. 'I wonder if that big guy was on steroids?' Kristie asked.
'Oh course he is! He's taller than Tidus! The guy has to be on steroids!' Vincent said.
'Oh well. Come on we got to find a way out of this place.' Kristie said, pulling out on of the two guns that hung at her hips. She stopped by a corner and held the gun out past the corner, looking at it's rellection to see if anyone was coming. The coast was clear so Kristie took off down the hallway, hoping to find an exit to this confusing white palace.

Teresa was walking casually down the corridor. "Lost once again. Why do I listen to you?"
"Hey you got yourself lost!" Himeko yelled at Teresa. Teresa glared at Himeko. They got into a you did argument. Except Himeko was yelling and Teresa had a calm tone.

"Why the fuck do the corridors keep chaning?!" Kristie yelled as she ran down another hallway that came to a dead end. The wall on either side of the dead end opened up. "That's it! Vincent you go that way and I'll go this way!" Kristie said, the two going in seperate directions. A few minutes later Vincent was by Kristie's side.
"That way's a dead end so we should keep going as far as we can." Vincent said, running next to his slightly shorter partner.

The "you did" arguement lasted for a few hours. Teresa and Himeko were now once again sitting on a wall. Once again Himeko was chewing off Teresa's ear. Teresa sighed in her head as Himeko talked her head off. 'I wish this woman had a off button.' She wished, looking at Himeko going on with her rant.

" I think Tori's bad luck is rubbing off on me." Kristie said as she came to yet another dead end. "I have to say that this is getting tiring even for me." Vincent said from indide his weapon form.

Himeko's rant once again drew attention to them, but this time Teresa didn't even bother getting away. She had her chin resting on her hand. She waved a small wave while Himeko was still ranting.

Kristie had finally spotted a door that was up ahead. "Whoo! A way out of this friggin' laberinth." Kristie said as she increased her pace to reach the door.

"I surrender." Teresa said calm. Himeko then realized all the people around them. And then realized what Teresa had said.
"What do you mean you surrender?!" Himeko screamed at Teresa. Teresa pluged her ears in time. "You can take all of them!" Himeko screameda again but this time in her gangster woman voice.

Once Kristie reached the door, she wrenched it open and flew inside. When she looked around she noticed that she was in what looked like a grand hall or something. What caught her attention was the strange man standing beside a rather large chair.

Teresa was now in a holding cell. She origonally had wooden cuffs on, but was able to get them off with ease. A man with red hair and a lot of tattoos came in with a food tray. "What! Why are the restraints off!?" He demanded.
"They were uncomfortable." Teresa said. She was sitting on the chair provided with one leg down and the onther on the chair, knee up. She had her arm resting on it.

"Well it seems that we have an unexpected guest." The man said grinning, his eyes closed, reminding Kristie of a fox.

He sighed decideing not to push in any forward. He was about to open the cell door to give her the food when the previous violent man came bursting in, through the wall. "Doesn't he remind you of some from back home?" Teresa said to Himeko, who had appeared without the other's notice.

Kristie smiled as well. "HaHA yeah sorry about that. I don't even know how I got here so if you direct me to the nearist exit that would be awsome." she said, trying to be polite

Himeko and Teresa started conversing on how Zaraki reminded them of someone. Himeko then realized the situation again. "How are you so calm in this kind of situation!?" She screamed.
"This place is better then the prison camps." Teresa answered. Himeko had no choice but to agree with Teresa for once.

The man just smiled at her. "Now why would I do that? I think Aizen would be intrested in meeting you since you were able to enter undetected." The man said grinning wider, which Kristie thought impossible at how wide his grin was. "Umm...okay...I guess." Kristie said unsure of what to say. 'Be on gaurd. We don't know what these people are capible of plus we're on unfamilar territory.' Vincent said to Kristie telepathically in his weapon form. 'No shit sherlock...' Kristie thought back.


(Yeah for sneaking on to computer!! Whoot!!)

"How the hell are we going to find the pervert and the idiot!!" Himiko screamed in Teresa's ear once they were alone. Teresa rubbed her ear and then pushed Himiko away.

'This is just great...I'm stuck hear with this weirdo while waiting for some strange guy...Just great..." Kristie thought as she leaned against the wall. 'I wonder what Teresa' doing..' Kristie thought afterwards.

Teresa was now starting to get pissed off at Himiko's ranting. Little did Himiko know or ignored, Teresa was holding the urge to punch her with all the willpower she had.

A red light started to go off inside Kristie's head. ''I feel impending doom aproaching some unfortunate person'' Kristie said. It was never a good idea to piss off Teresa, and Kristie & Tori always had a this knack to detect when she pissed off.

Teresa sat there clenching her fist, her knuckles turning white. 'When I find Azaela or Cj. I'm going to fucking kick their asses.' Teresa vented, knowing better than to scream it outloud.

Kristie sneezed as a tall man with brown hair that was pulled back came in.

"That's it." Teresa said, she was now beyond pissed although her voice didn't give any hints. "Let's go."

The man turned to Kristie and observed her before speaking. "You must be the little mouse that came into the palace without detection. I applaude you for no one has ever been able to acheive such a feat." The man said as he walked closer to her. 'I don't like this guy, Kris...' Vincent said to Kristie telepathically.

"Eh?" Himiko noticed Teresa's change of attitude. "Where we going?" She asked forgetting about her rant.
"Lock on to Cj's soul wavelength." Teresa ordered. Himiko sighed, after a few seconds of silence Himiko rip the fabric of the dimension with her hand. Both jumped through and ended up in a corridor.
"To...much...white..." Himiko said noticing their new surroundings. Teresa looked around from where she stood.
"Alright, she's this way." Teresa said leaving Himiko behind again.
